I thought that I would create a spot to serve as the home of past projects.
This was my first painting experience. I had a wonderful teacher that took me under his wing and showed me how to properly paint a car.
This is what it looked like originally:

Body was taken apart, all panels stripped, etched, and ready for bodywork:

Side shot of car with the original quarter panel, you can’t really see how bad of shape it was in from the picture - trust me, it was BAD!

This is a shot of the other side of the car with the quarter panel cut out. Both sides were done this way…

Picture of the new quarter panels after they have been etched:

Flipping back to the other side (I wasn’t consitant with my picture taking through the project), here is the panel tacked in…

More flip-flopping, the Quarter Panel is welded in and I’m grinding welds. This picture of me was taken roughly 15 years ago… Despite the dated photo, I am proud of the fact that up until a few weeks ago - I still had (and wore) those very shorts worn in the picture. They finally were ripped in so many ‘revealing’ places that even I agreed it was time to retire them - a sad day…

Fast forwarding ahead, here is the car in Urethane Primer - ready to be blocked and wet sanded.

Car after all body work done and trimmed out:

Car painted:

Sadly enough, this is all the pictures I have of this wonderful memory. Oh, did I mention this was my first car? Also, the reason why it was repainted was because of an accident with a deer.
Here is a picture of the fiero I painted:
It was painted with a black BaseCoat/Clearcoat (BASF - Limco) using a Devilbiss Gun
